Due to road closures on Friday, September 5, 2025, the Polk City lobby will be closed and the drive up will only be accessible by walk up.
Attention Deposit Account Customers:
Effective September 2, 2025, you will no longer be able to use your GSB debit/ATM card to deposit at non-GSB owned ATMs. You will still be able to deposit at the GSB owned ATMs located at each of our four (4) branches. You can also conveniently deposit checks via Mobile Deposit through our mobile app. If you are not currently set up for Online or Mobile Banking, stop in or contact any of our branches and a personal banker will assist you.
To learn more about how to use Mobile Deposit, visit our Online Banking Education Center.
We understand that this may change how you deposit, however, this decision has been made due to the increasing level of risk associated with check fraud deposits occurring at ATMs.
At Grinnell State Bank, we have loan officers in all four branches ready to help you with your personal mortgage and auto loan needs. Whether you’re purchasing your first home or purchasing a vehicle, our knowledgeable staff will walk you through the borrowing process.
With all lending decisions made in house, our bankers will get to know you and offer personalized advice. We don’t need to go upstream to get lending permission – our local bankers make all lending decisions and will work with you during your visit.
You are advised to not include sensitive or confidential information (i.e. Social Security #, account #’s or pass code ID information etc.) within any “unencrypted” email communication. Please be advised that contact forms are received during normal business hours. If you have not received a response within 48 hours, please call the bank at 800-236-3187.
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person or business that opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that allows us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
Borrowers must be of legal age to apply for a loan; or a qualified co-borrower, or guarantor may be required.
Consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility of interest.
